A lot of happy Golfers congregated in the bar late yesterday afternoon at Golf Club Steisslingen – happy that Round 1 was over and ready to hear the Ranking List for the day. Many thanks to Stamford Consulting and Die Mobiliar for a wonderful Apero, Koru Lounge & Cafe for a great Mid Round Snack and Transition Consulting Limited for those great Goodies at the start of the round!

Hearty congratulations to all the Winners at the opening round and there were quiet a few!

Bob and Corinne each take home new Taylormade Bags courtesy of our Official Golf Equipment Partner Taylormade, while Pia and Dick each received 2 day passes for Savognin Bergbahn.

Jacques not only won a great voucher from our Travel Partner – Golf Butler for his Netto scoring (which we’re hoping he’ll use on our trip to South West Ireland later this year in Autumn) but he also bagged the “Fin Bec Back Nine” prize of two bottles of Sparkling Wine “Heida” from Official Wine Sponsor Fin Bec as well!

Patrick Knab won a month’s membership at Holmes Place while Peter H. won shares in DaVinci Invest. Recently HCP’d Patrick Studer won a half hour PRO lesson as well as a useful Victorinox Golf tool – both great HCP improvers’ I’m sure! Several people went home with vouchers for Golf Import – Myriam, Oliver and Barry while Rabbit Patrick Schmidli won a handy Orell Fuessli voucher.

Feeling like it was her lucky day: Corrine also won a voucher for U’nique while Jay bagged a simulator voucher for Golfnow Indoor. Rainer won a handy 100.- CHF voucher for Sibler and Marion can look forward to a meal for two at Krishnaas Restaurant. After struggling with the heavy rough and lost balls syndrome, both Andrea and Markus were happy to each receive three sleeves of balls from Manuel Neiss Architects Buro!

The Ranking Lists and Leaderboards are available on line: and now for the most important news from the day – we have a tie for the crown of King Tiger – with Jay and Dick both scoring 90 tiger points on the day. And for the first time ever we have a Queen Rabbit in the lead – Myriam with a stately 50 points.

Congratulations to all three of you as well as everyone who took part on the day! Next round, we will play over the magnificant Lac du Gruyère against a backdrop of the stunning Fribourg mountains. All the usual great value fun guaranteed with something for those who love their wine as much as their golf – a wine tasting of some of the best wines from Valais – courtesy of our Official Wine Partner – Fin Bec Fine Wines
