August, sunshine and breathtaking views combined with a visit back to a course which is turning into a favourite for Golf4Fun’ers – A Perfect Summers Day! Back in May, we battled with pretty much Irish weather conditions and our own HCP’s for the usual round of great prizes. In August the prize was really the breathtaking view across the lake and over the surrounding alps. At the first tee box we were greeted with the sound of cow bells in the distance.

Hole 1 and Mark very nearly managed a hole in one but was content to add a birdie as his first score of the day. None of the rest of us managed such graceful play on the first tee although there were many great moments on the day.

Playing over the terraces high above the lake provided spectacular views and even when we ventured away from the lake at hole 7, there were still stunning vistas to keep our minds off the progress of the game.

The green of the par 4 hole 17 saw a stunning tee shot from Murray who landed only a few meters short of the green. For the rest of us we had to be content with Pars and Boogies as well as the welcome sight of the lake and clubhouse beckoning us back for the 19th hole.

Congratulations to Peter for an impressive 39 points and Nora for the runner up spot with 38 points.
